Business Overview

This is a busy, fast paced operation which offers many challenges and opportunities for the right person. These positions are based at PE Multi–User Transport site, Port Elizabeth (Gqebherha).

Role Outline

    • Accurate administration of documents
    • Allocating of vehicles to Inbound and Outbound
    • Updating of the OTM
    • Ensure that carrier changes report is sent out
    • Ensure Inbound and Outbound updates to the Transport team
    • Ensure document checks for dispatch is conducted
    • Ensure appointment times for deliveries are achieved
    • View loads on shipment cockpit
    • Resolve all stock issues to ensure checking is completed
    • Release shipments to ensure continuity of material handling equipment
    • Material handling equipment KPI's being achieved
    • Ensure orders are picked on completion
    • Pick variance report
    • Monitor shipments
    • Monitor and oversee contract labour
  • KPI’s
    • Accurate flow of documents for the receipt and release of stock
    • Correct information communicated to Management and support staff regarding loads
    • Ensure all stock discrepancies are investigated ad countersigned by the driver
    • Proper control of all documents
  • – Reporting any non-conformance
    • Adherence to SOP’s
    • Ensure that product safety, quality and integrity is not compromised
    • Carry out duties with pride and integrity
    • Maintain records
    • Exposure to Pride system

Qualifications

Educated to Grade 12 or ABET Level 4

Any relevant Clerical/Administration experience

Skills/Competencies/Experiences

WMOS experience and knowledge

Pride experience and knowledge

Ability to work within a rapidly changing environment

Good communication skills

Ability to enforce health and safety procedures

Stock location integrity with regards to SKU assignment

2 to 3 years’ experience in warehousing / logistics / FMCG environment

Ability to work under pressure

Ability and Flexibility to work shifts

Stock loss management


Languages

English - verbal and written.
